Our Story - From Farm to Plate

Back in the summer of 2019, The Kings Head was taken on by a local farming family aspiring to reignite the Pub's Potential. Being a Freehouse, our emphasis is on supporting local breweries, distilleries, farmers and growers. Most of our beef and lamb comes directly from our farm at St Anthony's head where they graze the coastal pastures all year round. Game when in season sourced locally, and of course fish straight from the sea. Whether you're local or from further afield, want to stay for a meal or just a pint in the beer garden, you're always welcome... (And so are Dogs!)

Quality Foods

We love using local and available ingredients to bring only the best to your plate. CornwallLive puts our Sunday Roasts in the Top 5 of the Duchy and our Rich Desserts constantly receive great commendations.
Why not come and try them for yourself?

Bed and Breakfast

We offer a cosy 'Bed and Breakfast' service for Guests, Travellers and Holidaymakers! Located on the top floor of the property, with free high-speed Wifi and in the perfect place for countryside walks.

update

It is with much regret that we have, unfortunately, decided to close the Kitchen for the forseeable future or until Easter 2024.The Restaurant industry is currently facing a huge amount of pressure, and as much as we can hope, no one is immune to it. Therefore, combined with being unable to secure a full time Chef, we will only be serving drinks and snacks over the winter and into Spring. As it stands, we are looking forward to seeing you in for the warm fireplace, the proper ales and drinks and a friendly chat. Our Kitchen will reopen as soon as is viable and as the new year gets into swing! To stay updated or find out more, we suggest to also follow our facebook.
